SNR Versus Optical Bandwidth At 10,600 nm

9108-001

This graph shows how the signal-to-noise ratio varies with optical bandwidth for a 0.3 m telescope at 10,600 nm.

The graph shows estimates of the signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) obtained for an incoherent, direct-detection optical receiver in the infrared, as a function of optical bandwidth and received signal intensity.
