The PROSETI (Professional Optical SETI) Detectability Margin is the best SNR obtainable for an efficient photon counting system, such as a Multichannel Scaler, that counts all incoming photons and does not detect with a high threshold to reduce the data rate as described elsewhere for lower-cost AMOSETI systems.
